Volunteer. Volunteering is a great way to add value to both your life and the life of others living in Africa. It provides you with the chance to get involved with something new that you are passionate about.

Why volunteer?

There are many reasons to volunteer:

  • Volunteering makes a big difference to charities
  • You meet new, like minded people
  • It boosts your employability
  • You gain worldly experience
  • It builds your confidence
  • Volunteering is fun and fulfilling

SOS Sahel UK is currently looking for volunteer fundraisers to help it increase donations to the Sahel. All of our work is reliant on the generosity of others, particularly those volunteers who generously share their spare time and skills to help us achieve our goals.

There are many ways you can volunteer and help us fundraise.

  • Why not set up your own student or community group for Africa? Hold fun events to raise money and increase awareness of the little-known Sahel region and its nomadic population.

Can you offer help in Oxford?

From time to time, we need administrative help in our Oxford office and stewarding at our events. If you are happy to offer a minimum of three hours of your time, please get in touch. In return, we can provide a limited lunch allowance and local travel expenses.

Please note that SOS Sahel UK does not provide volunteer placements in Africa.
